Business Society

Our students are active and involved!  The School of Business supports a number of organizations under the umbrella of the Business Society that encourage students to use the tools they are developing in their studies.  Whether you are interested in working for a nonprofit corporation, becoming an ad agency executive, or becoming an auditor or tax accountant, these organizations will help you to learn more about the world of business, build your skills, and focus your energies on working towards your goals.

What We Do

Each year the Business Society hosts a variety of activities to bring our students together and have fun! Additionally, the Business Society annually partners with the Chattanooga Room in the Inn and hosts "Christmas Without a Home".  This very special party provides a warm coat, new winter shoes, a special gift, and hot meal for around 40 homeless children.

Are you interested in becoming a member of the Business Society or want more information on how you can be a part of bringing Christmas to those without a home?  Please contact the president of the Business Society, Natalie Tielves at

Some events that the Business Society hosted in the past include:

  • Hiking in the beautiful mountains of Tennessee!  We traveled to North Fork of Citico Creek which is in Tellico Plains. Transportation and lunch was provided.
  • Students found their way through the Rock City Enchanted MAiZE!
  • Vespers and Bonfire with the Business Society!
  • A study break to the Chattanooga Lookouts!
  • Painted the Learning Center at the Chattanooga Community Kitchen.
  • Game Night featured board games, Wii games, pizza, guacamole and chips.
  • Business Society students volunteered at Bachman Academy untangling wires and cleaning shelving in their storage area.
  • In 2009 the Business Society sponsored a Fall Festival that was fantastic!  Between pumpkin carving, pie eating and a huge bonfire - there was something for everyone!
