Timothy Korson, Ph.D.
Hickman Science Center
Dr. Korson was born in Vermont. He graduated from Atlantic Union College with a BA in French and in math. After graduation he spent six years as a missionary in Zaire, Africa, teaching math. Upon returning to the United States he completed a master's degree in math and then a Ph.D. in computer information systems at Georgia State University.
After finishing his doctorate, he taught at Clemson University for eight years, and then he ran a software consulting firm for 15 years. Dr. Korson continues to combine consulting with his teaching in the School of Computing. His interests include travel and horses.
