Southern Adventist University is a wonderful place to work and attend classes according to Dr. Eder! She commends the students’ decision to become a part of this university family. She appreciates the students; they are the real heart and life of this university.

The Bible text from Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, . . . to give you a future and a hope,” is an important one. God is thinking about each one us and has plans for us. Dr. Eder’s journey with God has taken her to Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas to live.  Being back in Tennessee is a great blessing. Perhaps, you share a state in common with her.

She earned an EdD from the University of Tennessee in 2000. She has taught in public school districts in South Dakota and Georgia. In the Adventist education system, Eder has taught 7th and 8th grade in Collegedale and has been a superintendent of schools in Texas.  The social sciences and leadership are topics of particular interest, and she continues to read on a variety of topics in those areas along with general education topics. Her spiritual journey has provided many growth opportunities, but God has always been faithful.

She encourages students to stop by and share their aspirations, struggles, and blessings. She looks forward to assisting students with God’s journey for their lives.
