Nick Hartline serves as adjunct instructor of clarinet at Southern Adventist University, Covenant College, Girls’ Preparatory School, Baylor School, Ooltewah High School, and Signal Mountain Schools.
He has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, and a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance, both from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Mr. Hartline began his teaching career early, providing clarinet instruction at three area high schools and Cadek Conservatory of Music while a university student.
Mr. Hartline has served as principal clarinet in the Chattanooga Youth Symphony, UTC Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra, as third clarinet in the Chattanooga Symphony, and assistant principal clarinet in the Knoxville Opera Orchestra. His chamber music experience includes ongoing membership in the Chattanooga Clarinet Choir (which he directed for three years), the Chattanooga Clarinet Quartet, and several other chamber ensembles.
Mr. Hartline also composed several works, and arranged music by Aaron Copland for clarinet choir.
