And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.  You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (NIV)

Clinical:
My first job was at Florida Hospital, East, on a med-surg floor, where I practiced team nursing for one year. I quickly realized I wanted more cardiac exposure, so I transferred to the Progressive Care Unit where I worked for another year. After two years in Florida, my husband and I decided to move back to Maryland, where I pursued a job in critical care. I worked for Sinai Hospital in Baltimore in the CCU for five years and absolutely loved it. We then moved down to Chattanooga, where I worked in the ICU relief pool at Erlanger for six years and two years at Memorial in the CVICU. I've been teaching clinical and simulation at Southern since 2012.

Being with people, reading fiction, traveling, playing softball, listening to my kids play their instruments or watching them play sports.
Bible Verse:

My favorite verse is Matthew 7:12 or the Golden Rule. If everyone treated each other the way we want to be treated, it would solve a lot of this world's issues.
