Dr. Kevin Brown joined the faculty at Southern Adventist University in June 1999. In a way, he has returned home since he was a student at Southern College of Seventh-day Adventists. His teaching career is going well and he is looking forward to spending many years at Southern.
He graduated from Southern in 1994 and moved to Florida to work on a graduate degree at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He completed an MS in 1996 and a Ph.D. in 1999 both in the area of mathematics. During graduate school he taught mathematics at UCF, Valencia Community College, and several high schools in the Orlando area. He enjoys teaching very much and is pursuing his research interests.
His other interests include camping, hiking, traveling with his family, amateur auto mechanics, and learning to play guitar.
He is married to Jennifer (Crouch) who also attended Southern Adventist University. They have a son, Jacob, age 12, and a daughter, Lillian, age 6. Spending time with family is one of Kevin’s greatest pleasures.
