School of Nursing
Callie McArthur graduated from Southern Adventist University with an AS degree in 1973. She completed her BSN. in 1976 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In 1978 she received her Master’s in Nursing with an emphasis in Child Health from Emory University in Atlanta.
Callie’s nursing experience includes general medical surgical nursing, child health nursing, physician office nursing, as well as experience in the operating room and in-service education. Currently she is happy to be involved in Fundamentals clinicals and simulation for Adult I, II and III, OB, and Child Health. She coordinates the simulation program for the School of Nursing.
Callie returned in 2012 to Southern’s School of Nursing after a three year break during which she was on the nursing faculty at Southwestern Adventist University in Texas.
Callie is married to Dr. Benjamin McArthur, also a faculty member at Southern Adventist University, and they have two adult children and one grandchild.
