With interests in film making spanning animation and live action, Zach C. Gray serves as the animation program coordinator at Southern Adventist University’s School of Visual Art and Design where he was instrumental in developing the program.
Zach Gray's most recent project was Visual Effects Supervisor and Consulting Director on the upcoming theatrical feature, "Old Fashioned". Gray also supervised a portion of visual effects for the "Record Keeper" series. Working with Disney veteran director Hendel Butoy, Gray served as technical director on the pilot project "Baptism," a proof of concept for an animated film on the life of Jesus Christ.
The acting and performance aspects of animation provided a foundation for film directing. Gray co-wrote and directed the family feature Secret of the Cave, recipient of a 2006 Crystal Heart award at the Heartland Film Festival. Gray’s additional film credits include production designer and visual effects supervisor for various short form and commercial projects. Gray earned his M.F.A. in Character Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
