Lisa B. Kuhlman worked at Southern Adventist University since the summer of 2010, taught as an adjunct since 2012 and began full time teaching in fall of 2016. Prior to coming to Southern, Professor Kuhlman worked for Booz Allen & Hamilton as a consultant on a variety of federal contacts, was a Project Manager for a small 8-A firm on a large, national Department of Justice contract and managed the Deputy Development Program for the U.S. Marshals Service. Her background in various industries and job responsibilities brings a rich portfolio of experiences to the classroom.
Professor Kuhlman earned a B.BA in International Business from The George Washington University and her MBA in Marketing from Southern Adventist University.
Professor Kuhlman teaches Consumer Behavior, International Marketing, Services Marketing, Business Computer Concepts and Applications, Preparing to Meet the Firms and Southern Connections. Professor Kuhlman is the lead for the Meet the Firms committee which organizes and hosts our twice a year career fair, Meet the Firms.
Professor Kuhlman is an executive council member for the Ooltewah/Collegedale Council of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds a position on the Board of Directors for the East Tennessee Orchestra (ETSO.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Kuhlman’s interests include: Domestic and International travel, visiting the highest points in each state, backpacking, camping, skiing and all things outdoors.
Mrs. Kuhlman and her husband, Dr. Steven Kuhlman (DBA in Marketing and Pricing Manager for McKee Foods Corporation), reside near Southern with their three children, 2 Pembroke Welsh Corgis, a hound (we are in the South) and a cat.
