Sonja Fordham, PhD, Writing Center Director & Tutoring Center Director
Sonja Fordham received her B.S. from Southern Adventist University, her M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of New England, and her Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona. She spent 13 years teaching English in South Korea, where she discovered a love for Korean food. She then spent 6 years in Tucson, AZ, teaching English composition and working on her Ph.D. In 2014, she joined the faculty at Southern as the director of the Writing Center, and in 2017, she also became the director of the Tutoring Center. In her free time, she loves to run marathons and plans to run the Boston Marathon in 2019.
Inah Pagarigan, Tutor Coordinator
Inah Pagarigan is one of the tutor coordinators at the Tutoring Center helping students and tutors alike with their appointments. She has a B.S. degree in Computer Science and is currently working on her Master’s degree. She likes to read and recently started learning brush lettering.
