Free performance features guest artist Egbert Schoenmaker from Germany.

Southern Adventist University’s Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Laurie Redmer Minner, will present its annual Orchestra/Organ concert on March 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists.

The concert will feature German organist Egbert Schoenmaker and include Academic Festival Overture and Symphony No. 2 in D major by Brahms and Concerto for Organ in C major by Haydn.

Schoenmaker studied the organ at the conservatories of Utrecht, Arnhem, and Amsterdam and has toured South Africa, the United States, and Canada.

“It is a great honor to have Schoenmaker performing with the orchestra,” Minner said. “He is a great artist and the students will learn a lot by listening to him perform.”
