Graduation weekend is fast approaching at Southern Adventist University. As the seniors prepare for life after college, Southern is preparing to create a memory that will stay in their hearts long after they receive their diplomas.

If you or someone you know is graduating this year, here are some things you should know:

  • Tickets are not required this year. Seats at Memorial Auditorium are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Family and friends not able to attend in person can view the graduation service live via our website.
  • To purchase a video, DVD, or audio recording of the service, call 423.236.2727.
  • Graduates who would like to receive a free 5x7-inch photograph capturing the moment they receive their diplomas can preregister.
  • Download this presentation (PPT) of information for graduates. 
  • Listing of area hotels to book accommodations.

Social Work Pinning: 6 p.m., Friday, May 2, Collegedale Spanish Church. Speaker: LeClare Litchfield.

Consecration: 8 p.m., Friday, May 2, Iles P.E. Center. Speaker: Don Keele

Sabbath School: 10 a.m., Sabbath, May 3, Iles P.E. Center.

Baccalaureate: 11:30 a.m., Sabbath May 3, Iles P.E. Center. Speaker: Ron Whitehead.

Commencement: 9:30 a.m., Sunday, May 4, Memorial Auditorium, Downtown Chattanooga. Speaker: Samuel Betances.
