A former student contacted Professor Kathy Goddard on Facebook recently. "Did you
know that I'm an English teacher?"
"No, I didn't," Goddard replied, "but your news has made my day!" One of Goddard's joys is recruiting and equipping the next generation of teachers.
Two of Goddard's passions are teaching and writing. As a classroom teacher, she has taught students in all three levels: elementary, secondary, and college. As a writer, she has published in several genres from short stories to a Bible textbook. Goddard enjoys helping her students perfect their writing craft and get their first by-lines.
Goddard joined the English Department in 2010 to teach Composition and Creative Writing. Her awards include the Zapara Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Alumni Academy Achievement Award.
