To get an extension on the books or materials you have on loan:
- Log into McKee Library's Catalog using your Southern username and password.
- Click your name in the upper corner, then select "My Library Card."
- On the loans tab, select the renew link beside the items you wish to renew or select "Renew All." Please note that you can only use this renew option before the due date. If after the due date, please contact the circulation desk for assistance.
Study Rooms & Presentation Lab
Study rooms may be reserved by Southern students, faculty, and staff for group study and media viewing. The Presentation Lab may be reserved most evenings for presentation rehearsals.
Students and faculty may request materials that are not held in the McKee Library collection. These requests are limited to materials for academic study.
We provide support for your teaching and research.
Photocopying & Printing
Campus ID cards or department cards are required for copies and printouts. You may add money to your card at the ID Card desk located in Wright Hall. Visitors may ask for help at the circulation desk or periodicals desk.
Exam proctoring is available Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 8 pm. To request a proctor, please complete the form below a minimum of 48 hours before your desired time. Please note that the library provides proctoring as a courtesy and although we do our best to accommodate all requests, this is not always possible. Requests that do not fall within the proctoring days and hours as stated above will not be considered.
Technology in the Library
Computer stations throughout the library are available for student and limited public use.
Disability & Accessibility Services
The library staff accommodates student and employee requests for assistance in finding and using library resources.
Southern students, faculty, and staff may receive free writing assistance for any assignment or project.
Southern students may receive free peer tutoring for a variety of academic courses.
Southern students, faculty, and staff may receive free research assistance for any assignment or project.
The Media Department offers DVDs, CDs, videotapes, and laser video discs as well as streaming media. It is also responsible for providing the equipment on which the various types of media can be used in the library.
