Placement exams are given to the following students:
- Adventist Colleges Abroad (ACA) students who are planning to study French, German, or Spanish abroad must take a placement exam before leaving to study abroad and also upon their return.
- Students with French, German, or Spanish language skills who may be able to forego elementary language courses and register for advanced courses may take the placement exam to assist in course placement.
- Students who are interested in taking the Language Credit by Examination are required to take the placement exam.
- Students enrolled in elementary or intermediate French, German, or Spanish courses are given the placement exam in class at the beginning and end of each semester.
