Career Services can also assist in the following areas:

Career Counseling

While the information garnered from career assessments is valuable, simultaneous counseling helps with direct application. Students are encouraged to explore all of the options, taking into consideration personal and professional ambitions, lifestyle expectancies, commitment to education, job descriptions, and job market statistics and trends.

Career counseling is available at no cost to the student. There is not a limit on the number of visits. Students visit an average of four times.

Assessment and counseling does not guarantee that the major or career decision will be easier. However, career counseling does enable the student to make a more educated decision.

Job market data

What is the outlook for your field? Learn how to access information on market trends, educational and licensure requirements, salary information and more. Students can also browse groups of similar occupations to explore careers.

What can I do with my major?

Maybe your students are wondering what they can do with their major. Surprisingly, maybe more than you thought. Available online, the “what can I do with this major?” tool shows employment areas that graduates have turned into their careers. In addition, each major is accompanied by links to professional association websites and job boards.

On-campus interviewing/recruiting

We are constantly seeking to strengthen our relationship with employers. We welcome the opportunity for on-campus interviews and will provide space to employers who wish to interview students.
