Harmon Brownlow Ministerial Scholarship Fund

  • Theology or Pastoral Care major
  • Approved as a Ministerial Trainee by the School of Religion at Southern Adventist University

  • Undergraduate
  • Financially worthy based on Southern’s student aid policy.
  • Financially responsible and a willing to work part of his or her way through school.
  • Recognizing that God calls ministers to different areas, this scholarship is intended to assist students entering the ministry 1) within the United States and 2) who are looking for a church role, instead of a camp, hospital, etc. role.
  • Faculty should recognize recipient as having potential within the ministry.
  • Students must have a burning desire for winning Souls to Christ.

Burton and Dorothy Keppler Endowment for Archaeological Excavation and Publication

  • Enables the Institute of Archaeology to develop and support an archaeological excavation in the Middle East and to provide necessary funding for producing quality, scientific publications in the area of Near Eastern archaeology as it relates to the Bible

  • Foreign student preparing for ministry upon return to their homeland
  • Earned GPA of 2.0 (“C”) or above
  • Financial need based on Southern’s student aid policy

John B. and Alice L. Wong Scholarship Endowment Fund

  • Religion‐Theology major
  • Chinese from mainland China demonstrating interest for the ministry
  • Initially a designee of and approved by the Eastern Asia Administrative Committee of SDA (EEAC) and recommended to (EAAC) by a recognized church leader in China
  • Verified by EAAC that student is in financial need and willing to work a minimum of 20 hours a week (full time during summer)
  • Member of SDA Church
  • Must sign statement confirming willingness to return to China upon completing education
