Story Abstract

Southern Adventist University is 120 years old this year and we are celebrating! (Click on title for pictures and more information.)

Story

Southern first opened the doors to classes in February 1892.  Through the 120 years since then, more than 33,000 students have enrolled, with 3,200 attendees this school year.  Mini celebrations will be hosted throughout this year in celebration of the milestone anniversary. The first event was held in February for 700-750 students who attended the Health Careers Fair. Alumni Association volunteers served dessert during the lunch provided in Iles PE Center.

Homecoming Weekend, with the theme Celebrating the Past, Shaping the Future, provided another opportunity to celebrate with 1,000+ alumni who returned to campus at the end of October.
