Southern's Call Center

“The Call Center taught me a little bit of everything,” said Lindsay Wood, junior math major and call center supervisor. “It taught me to deal with challenges, to multitask, and to laugh at myself. I gained insights on how to ask for support, how to pray with complete strangers, and how to be a leader.”

Most students who work in the call center agree that it is challenging and intense, but it is also the best job on campus.

Student callers enjoy getting to know the alumni who have gone before them. Alumni freely share great advice, encouraging stories, and some have even been able to connect students with career opportunities. Within the call center, students also become a family—laughing, learning, and growing together.

And best of all, they have the experience of inviting others to share in the future of Southern by making a gift to the university. And every time that gift is made, the student rings the bell to let everyone know someone has chosen to invest in their education.
