Story Abstract

Story

I hope you all had an awesome Christmas! It was kind of funny, the first thing our son wanted when he got home was to go shopping for a warmer coat! You can tell he’s from California! : )

Though our son had to leverage this time off to get his wisdom teeth extracted, it hardly assuages the sweet family fellowship this Christmas! It’s so great to have 3 weeks together! We didn’t travel much given his surgery, but it was great seeing him catch up with friends and extended family.

His “2nd Mother” (the lady who provided his child care growing up) is still a very close friend, and he loves her Filipino cooking! I guess he was a bit disappointed (by comparison) with SAU’s Pancet dish (sorry), so we surprised him by having her cook some up special for him.

Our son loves the Narnia movies, so we all enjoyed going to see the Dawn Treader. I highly recommend it… not to turn this into a movie review : ) but we enjoy finding the spiritual symbolism in the series.

Again, I hope you all enjoyed what is no doubt such rare quality time with our university kids. For our family it will be the longest stretch yet until we see our son again, as he is tied up for Spring break on a project. We may have to try to take a trip to SAU : ) Our niece is interested in SAU, so we’ll bring her out with us and pray she makes the decision to attend SAU next year!
