Story Abstract

Story

Well, were into 6 weeks or more of college. Elizabeth is doing great. She is settling down into dorm life. Finding places to have quiet time as needed. This was a big adjustment for her is the dorm life. She was use to having her own space and quiet time to study. With all the girls in the dorm and all the things girls love to do, talking, staying up late, eating, and drama, was an adjustment for her.

She has found her study times are after classes in the afternoon in between work schedule, then again after supper before all the girls arrive back at the dorm.

Obtaining all of her worship points seems to take a lot of time. But they do offer quite a few different times for them to go to worship and that is a main reason we sent her to Southern Adventist University, was for the Christian atmosphere.

Classes are going well. She has the biggest Freshman class on record I've been told. So, this does present some issues with the huge classes for one on one student with teacher. Also, her classes are back to back and from one end of the campus to the other. She said she has to run to make it on time to her next class. If classes continue to be large they may need to break the classes down for better teacher/student ratio. That is a great problem to have for a school!

She has had great success with talking with the career counselors in trying to decide what she would like to have as career. Nursing seems to be in her goals this week. She started out as Allied Health. We'll see what the next 6 weeks brings.
