Story Abstract

Story

Hurray, Bianca will be home tomorrow! The countdown is no longer days but now hours till we pick her up at LAX. There will be joy in the Brieno household as Bianca joins us for Thanksgiving holiday. It will be a fun packed-filled five days that she is home. Four months has been a long time and we are very thankful that this day is finally here.

Speaking of being thankful, I am eternally grateful to our dear Lord for His many blessings to Bianca and our family. Not a day goes by that I don’t count my blessings. In times like these when so many people are out of work, I thank God that I have a job and one that is very rewarding where I feel like I make a difference in a student’s life! Working at Loma Linda University, School of Pharmacy allows me to see the difference a faith based university can make in a young person’s life. For Bianca I know that Southern Adventist University is giving her that same experience.

As we enter the holiday season, I am reminded of 1 Chronicles 16:34 “O, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good” and in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks”. It is my prayer from one parent to another that you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday giving praise to our Heaven Father for all His blessings!
