Story Abstract

Story

The date finally arrived when Bianca would be coming home for Thanksgiving break. Hurray! Home at last! Her plane would arrive in Los Angeles at 7:30 p.m. So we hurried off of work in Loma Linda to gather the family and head to LAX. Since we don’t usually travel far for the holidays, going to LAX on one of the busiest travel days of the year was an experience in itself. I am really proud of Bianca for traveling solo across country without any glitches. This is another sign of her growing up.

When we finally met up at LAX it was hugs, kisses and of course tears of joy! We chuckled at the scene we made but we didn’t care we were together once again. Well we couldn’t take much time greeting at the curbside so we scurried off from the LAX traffic. First order of business was getting sometime to eat. Bianca was very anxious to eat Mexican food again because Tennessee doesn’t have “authentic” Mexican food like in California! She came home with a list of must haves in form of favorite meals, mostly homemade favorites.

Once home there were so many people to see but for the most part she was just happy to chill at home and sleep in her own bed. We took long walks together, ate some good holiday food and just spent some quality time together. Oh, how I missed her laughter and cheery disposition! Now I am looking forward to a longer break at Christmas were we can be together once again.
