Story Abstract

Story

At long last the day came. I rolled out of bed on the morning of Friday, February 25th, ready to pack up my stuff and hit the road. I was going home for spring break! After a rough first half of the semester, filled with endless days of non-stop work, classes, and homework, I was finally getting a much needed break. The drive home was blissful. I could almost feel the heavens opening up and the hallelujah chorus playing. No more worries for 1 week. No more assignments to turn in, quizzes to take, projects to work on, or tests to study for. Needless to say, I had a wonderful relaxing break-a much needed escape from the stress of school. I didn't travel anywhere like some of my friends did, but I definitely had a great spring break!

And then, I came back last night...

That's when it all hit me. I took a look at the syllabus for all my classes and realized something: my blissful, relaxing, wonderful break had come to an end. Now I have a to-do list a mile long. Sometimes I wonder just how I'm going to make it. But, I know that I will. Even though I'm rather unhappy about most of my midterm grades and am worried about how to pull them up by the end of the semester, I'm beginning to have a peace about all of these things and not stressing as much. I know that with God, He will help me to survive the last half of this semester. But not just survive-He will help me to succeed. He is going to help me pull up my grades and get that huge to-do list all crossed off. It's a wonderful feeling, because I am no longer panicking like I first was when I saw my grades or the new list of things to do that I have. I would be stressing out if I didn't know that God was here to help me. But I do have Him. And that gives me all the peace I need.
