Recognizing the benefits of on-the-job work experience in the field of computing, the School of Computing conducts a successful internship program. During the last few years, Southern students have spent their summers working for Google Summer of Code, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, Tennessee Valley Authority, McKee Foods, UNUM, and other industries. Graduates have been employed by Intel, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Ernst & Young, NASA, and many other industry leaders.
