GCD Program Approved for Accreditation
This five-semester program prepares students to lead global, community-centered projects. The focus is on building long-term relationships in order to develop mutual trust and the sharing of information, resources, and visioning between indigenous and non-indigenous groups.
Using a Christ-centered model, students are prepared to train indigenous people to implement community-building projects.
The program's strong research component and hands-on experience position graduates favorably for jobs in a variety of international organizations.
Students develop their specific calling for mission service. Courses in fundraising and field-based research methods prepare students for fieldwork in projects such as micro-finance, agriculture (fishing, gardening, livestock), literacy and health education, the environment, artisan handicrafts, and others.
