Walla Walla, Washington
Tyler is an Outdoor Leadership major with a concentration in outdoor ministries. His passions are for summer camp and youth ministry. Tyler has been a staff member at Camp MiVoden since 2002 and will serve as assistant director over programming this next summer. He enjoys caving, gymnastics, rock climbing, and sharing his experience with Christ with others.
This semester, Tyler will be finishing up his junior year at Southern. He enjoys pretty much every activity out there. Tyler will be leading the surf trip over spring break and is looking forward to a rockin’ good trip.
Ann graduated from Southern Adventist University with a master’s degree in Outdoor Education and is starting her third semester as an adjunct professor in the outdoor leadership program. She enjoys horses, rock climbing, road trips, and practicing judo on unsuspecting males.
Conrad is a second year Grad Assistant who has a passion for sharing God’s Great Outdoors with others. He finds cave exploration to be very rewarding, especially when hearing previously nervous cavers say they are excited to go again.
He is a recent graduate from Southern’s masters program. He is currently the Programming Director of Outdoor Leadership and hopes to introduce students to their Creator through nature, while helping them become better leaders.
Emily graduated from Union College in Lincoln, NE with a Bachelors of Science in International Rescue and Relief. She enjoys many different kinds of outdoor activities, but her favorites include horseback riding, climbing, backpacking, snow skiing, and white water rafting. Emily loves meeting new people and looks forward to connecting with many students through the many different activities planned this year.
Ryan has been known to dabble in many outdoor ac- tivities including rock climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, ice climbing and many more, but particularly traditional rock climbing. He loves going on expeditions with friends, and ones soon to be, for such activities and for the experience. Recently, He was a member of a team that went on an expedition to Death Valley, CA which was sponsored by BMW to drive their bikes across the desert to make a promotional video.
Brad is a recent Outdoor Leadership graduate. He enjoys taking people outdoors and giving them the chance to do some- thing new and push their limits as well as his. If you can’t find him at the Gear shed, more than likely he is rock climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, snowboarding or water-skiing.
Tyler is a first year Grad As- sistant. His passion is leading trips and interacting with people in the outdoors. He enjoys sharing the love and knowledge of the outdoors with others. His experience includes leading trips in backpacking, kayaking, mountain biking, and rock climbing.
Ross graduated from Canadian University College (CUC) in 2014 with a B.A. in Adventure Based Counseling. Ross is also a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (W-EMT), Advanced Swift-water Rescue Technician, and Private Pilot. In 2014, Ross served with the Lacombe Fire Department as a firefighter. During his years at CUC, Ross was the Lead Rock Wall Supervisor and Outward Pursuits Department Technician. He taught a range of outdoor education classes and led in wilderness programming for high school youth. Over the last 4 years at CUC Ross assisted with college level classes on wilderness and climbing expeditions. Ross has a passion for the wilderness, youth, and life.

Cameron Park, California
During her enlistment in the U.S. Navy, Sara learned Chinese and lived in Hawaii. After earning her Riding Master VI certificate from Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre, she completed her B.A. in Chinese. Sara is now in her fourth year as a riding instructor. She also loves water-skiing, but don’t ask her to run a slalom course.
Steve began learning photography with his father in 1974. His photos have been published in magazines and in several calendars. Currently, Steve is working toward building a stock photography group specializing in Appalachian photography.
