Now through December 6--Michael Scoggins

UTC’s Cress Gallery of Art will present the work of Michael Scoggins, an exhibit called “A Day in the Life,” on display October 15 through December 6 with an opening lecture and reception at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15 in UTC’s Fine Arts Center Lobby. Festivals

November 29--Lighted Boat Parade

Chattanooga's riverside community of boat owners will welcome the holiday season with a Lighted Boat Parade on Friday evening, November 29th in the waterfront area between the Walnut Street Bridge and the Olgiati Bridge in downtown Chattanooga. Vendors and representatives from "Gifts that Give Hope" will also be present for the parade. To learn more, visit alliedartschattanooga.org.

 

December 3--Christmas on the Promenade

Southern Adventist University will host its annual Christmas on the Promenade event beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3rd. Visitors may enjoy refreshments as they stroll down the lighted Promenade and hear performances by Southern's Jazz Ensemble, musicians from Collegedale Academy, and others. Music 

November 22--Holiday Spectacular

The Chattanooga Music Club will usher in the holiday season with a Holiday Spectacular concert featuring guest organist Brett Valliant who will perform holiday music on the Austin Pipe Organ in collaboration with the Metropolitan Bells and the Voices of Lee at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 22nd in Memorial Auditorium. December 4--Festival of Lessons and Carols

The Chattanooga Stage Music and English Department will collaborate in presenting John Leavitt's Festival of Lessons and Carols at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4th. December 7--Singing Christmas Tree

The Chattanooga Boys Choir will usher in the holidays with the Singing Christmas Tree in performances at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th in the Tivoli Theatre. The Choir will be joined by the CSO Youth Orchestra, dancers from Ballet Tennessee, and the Orange Grove Center Chorus. December 14--Southern Adventist University Christmas Concert

Southern Adventist University's School of Music will present its annual Christmas concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th in the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church on Southern's campus. The concert will include Francesco Durante's Magnificat and other works performed by Southern's choirs, symphony orchestra, brass, and other ensembles. December 15--Messiah Singalong

The Chattanooga First Seventh-day Adventist Church welcomes the Christmas season with a sing-a-long performance of the Christmas portion of George Frederic Handel’s timeless oratorio Messiah. Attendees are invited to bring their Messiah scores and join in the singing, which begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 15. Community participants are also invited to rehearse with the orchestra and soloists on Saturday night, December 14. For more information, call 423.605.2468.
