The Bietz Center for Student Life
Welcome to Southern's Student Center
The Bietz Center is the Student Center of Southern Adventist University
The Bietz Center for Student Life, a three-story home base for students, opened in
the Summer of 2021. The 43,000 square foot facility provides opportunities for students
to socialize, decompress, study, and connect with services that contribute to their
mental and Spiritual well-being.
The Bietz Center features the following:
First Floor: The Southern Shoppe, Southern Accent, Memories, Strawberry Festival, The Cue (game room), The Portal (interactive gaming room), the INFO desk, Hang Out, the Club Room, the Meeting Room, and the Farrow Family Lodge.
Second Floor: CK2, the Office of Ministry and Mission, Office of Humanitarian Engagement for Local and Global Mission opportunities, Student Development, and the Grid.
Third Floor: Student Association, study rooms, The Jack Blanco Chapel, prayer room, and Student Support Services (FYE, Life Calling and Career Services, DSS, and Counseling and Testing).

A Place for Students to Recharge and Relax
The Portal is an interactive game room that features VALO Climb: a 10-foot non-harness
bouldering wall. There are also family friendly gaming consoles and a couple of retro
arcade style games.

Sunday: 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Saturday: 5:00 PM-11:00 PM
*Main Door hours are subject to change due to holiday breaks and various activities
on campus related to Student Life activities.
