Position Info
  • Digital Evangelism - Following Adventist World Radio's motto, "From Broadcast to Baptism", Digital Evangelists (DEs) will interact with AWR listeners (via phone and social media) who have expressed an interest in learning more about Jesus. Once contacts are received, the DE shall maintain contact for up to 10 weeks in the listener's local language, giving Bible studies and connecting the listener with the local church pastor, which in turn will hopefully lead to baptism. The volunteer will be assigned to the campus of the SSD in Silang Cavite, Philippines. This is a brand new project, so this first batch of DEs will have the privilege of assisting to set up the whole program. But at the same time a lot of flexibility is required, as various aspects of the ministry are tried, experimented with and modified to make the overall ministry better and stronger. DEs will spend most of their office time visiting with contacts from their home country, maintaining relationships both through phone and social media, giving Bible studies, answering Bible questions as well as tracking the progress of listeners. Regular office hours will be established and maintained, though much of the time in the office may be in the evenings and at night (due to AWR broadcast times in India). In addition to office duties, all DEs will be expected to serve in a local outreach ministry, ~20 hours per week (Including Sabbath ministry activities). DEs must attend the local church at least 3 Sabbaths per month. The 4th Sabbath may be spent visiting other churches, etc. when desired, and arranged with the CDE Director. DEs are expected to read and follow the policies of the AVS Handbook and the CDE Handbook.
