AMOR (Ambassadors Medical Outreach & Relief) Projects is a non-profit missionary clinic in Pucallpa, Peru. We work with locals, medical professionals, and student missionaries to bring medical, dental, educational, and spiritual health to the people there. We welcome you to learn more and get involved.

  • Average Fundraising Goal: ~$5,200 per year. Prices may vary. See Student Missions Office.
  • Timeline: 6-12 months (1 or 2 semesters)
  • Location: Pucallpa, Peru Check out the location on Google Maps!
  • Living Accommodations: The housing provides bunk beds with mattresses, mosquito netting, table and chair. Rooms are often shared with other student missionaries of the same gender. Other supplies are purchased in nearby Pucallpa for personal needs.
  • Language: Must be fluent in English, Spanish is very helpful and can be learned.
  • Food: Volunteer-responsible: food costs will be covered by a stipend reflected in the fundraising total.
  • Requirements: Typhoid/Yellow Fever and HepA vaccines, Visa upon arrival.
Position Info
  • NOTE: Many of the positions overlap at AMOR projects, you may be asked to help with any of the other positions.
  • Bible Worker - The volunteer will serve in a ministry that supports the SDA church entitled AMOR Projects to perform the following duties: Work alongside AMOR Projects chaplain in implementation of evangelistic campaigns. Responsibilities include giving personal and group bible studies based on the Bible (Seventh-day Adventist beliefs), preaching, leading small groups, and helping newly formed groups to organize leaders and maintain growth.
  • Medical Assistant - You will provide occasional medical assistance in a mission Clinic as well as out in the field where you will get exposure to medical care in rural jungle communities in the Amazon basin of east Peru. The medical work will be limited to the times that there is a doctor present at the clinic. There is no guarantee of a large amount of medical work. You will, however, have awesome opportunities to share the love and salvation of Christ.
