MS COMPUTER SCIENCE
Are you thinking about an undergraduate degree in computer science? If so, Southern
has a unique masters program in computer science. When combined with our ABET-accredited
undergraduate program, both the undergraduate and masters programs together can be
completed in a total of five years, in essense saving a year of tuition. Students
of Southern's masters in computer science have the option obtaining a 12 hour specialized
graduate certificate in one of the following areas as they work on their degree: cyber
security, data analytics, or web development.
Did you graduate with an undergraduate degree in something other than computer science but wish you could somehow get a computer science degree without starting back at square one? After showing you've had a year of computer programming experience, or after taking CPTR 502, our programming I & programming II class fast-track combined into one class, you'll be ready to jump into our master of science in applied computer science degree.
We also offer three stand alone graduate certificates that anyone with one year of computer programming or CPTR 502 is welcome to take. We have a cyber security graduate certificate, a data analytics graduate certificate, and a web development certificate. Each certificate is 12 credit hours, four classes that are each three credit hours.
