GC B14 Accuracy and Assumptions

How accurate are radiometric dates? In order for radiometric dating to be accurate, careful procedures must be followed, and at least three assumptions must be true. This presentation uses an hour glass to explore these three assumptions. It also points out that, while many scientists have accepted radiometric dating as an accurate theory, others still consider it a hypothesis to be tested. This is because the long ages suggested by radiometric dating conflict with what the Word of God teaches, and there are pieces of geological evidence that are difficult to explain if they were formed over millions of years.

A non-narrated version of the PowerPoint and a script are provided for teachers who would find them useful for presenting the material to their students.
