STEVEN KUHLMAN, PHD

Steven Kuhlman graduated from La Sierra University with his BS degree in geology. He went on to get his MS degree in geology from University of Oklahoma. In 2004, Professor Kuhlman received his MBA from Southern Adventist University. His master's degree thesis was titled “Late Precambrian and Phanerozoic Thermal and Tectonic History of the Western Canadian Shield, Manitoba and Ontario: Evidence From Fission-Track Analysis of Apatite.”

Professor Kuhlman is happily wedded to his wife, Lisa, who is the School of Business office manager. They have one daughter and two sons. In 2004, they moved to Collegedale to allow their children to attend a quality Seventh-day Adventist elementary school that was close to home.

Professor Kuhlman worked for the Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina, for seven years. He also worked for the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C., on classified intelligence analysis for 10 years. He is currently employed as a Marketing Research Analyst for McKee Foods and teaches Earth Science at the Physics and Engineering Department.
