Southern Mentorship Program
Employees Helping Students Explore Their Calling
The Southern Mentorship Program aims to create opportunities for students to build healthy relationships with employees
at Southern Adventist University. This program provides the support and sense of belonging
necessary to embody academic and professional excellence and encourages students to
pursue Spirit-filled lives of service.
A Southern employee mentor will be available to students to support them by sharing knowledge and experience to empower the student in their journey towards finding their calling. Mentors can offer students the following benefits:
- Career and Calling Advising: Assist students 1) with discerning their calling, 2) navigate their career path,
and 3) strategize their career goals.
- Support: Empower students by 1) listening to student’s concerns; 2) providing moral support; 3) connecting students with support services, and 4) providing encouragement.
