Located at the end of the Chesser Island Boardwalk, the observation tower in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge provides a panoramic view of the vast swamp and surrounding nature.

I spent most of a rainy day here, under tornado warnings, instead of putting in for a three-day backcountry canoe trip I had planned in March 2025.
