Maasai Mara National Reserve

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is a conservation area of savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya. It is home to many beautiful creatures, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebra, hyenas, and hippos. My family had the opportunity to serve in this region over spring break--delivering filtering buckets that provide the Maasai people with clean water for years. This photo, taken in March 2025, features my dad and two future Southern students: my brother, Kai Knowlton, and his friend, Casey Morrison.
