Sticky Waterfall

Sticky Waterfall, or Bua Thong Waterfall, is located in Sri Lanna National Park. It is primarily formed from limestone, and the water comes from a spring rich in calcium carbonate. As the water flows down, it leaves mineral deposits behind, creating a grippy surface that you can walk up barefoot.

I had the chance to meet up with fellow biology student Faith Ing, who served as our tour guide through Chiang Mai. We were told a local legend that long ago, a princess was forced to marry at a very young age and move away from her family. She cried so much each day that her tears eventually created the waterfall.
