Playa San Josecito

Playa San Josecito is often considered one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on the Osa Peninsula. It is located approximately 4 to 6 miles (6 to 9 km) south of Drake Bay. This photo was taken at the far end of the beach, just before it transitions into the nearby national forest, which is a short distance from the one-room schoolhouse. There is one road leading into this area, and you can take a taxi from Drake Bay to this location for about $30, or opt for a water taxi for approximately $100.
