About the Team
The Gym-Masters Acrobatic Team is a tight-knit group of young college individuals
who tour and perform for assembly programs, college and professional half-time shows,
parades, fairs, and many other types of events, including a Home Show performance
at Southern Adventist University. The Gym-Masters are dedicated to the promotion of
positive lifestyle choices. We emphasize the importance of healthy living, commitment,
dedication, teamwork, and most important: a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Since 1975, the Gym-Masters have performed choreographed routines that incorporate circus acrobatics, gymnastics, and cheerleading stunts to catch the audiences' attention in hopes of sharing their passion with them. Each school year the Gym-Masters incorporate mission outreach into their program. The Gym-Masters take their message all over the country, from California to New York, and even out of the country to the Dominican Republic, hoping to impact the world in a positive way.
Most performers would be satisfied by big crowds and loud cheers, but Gym-Masters have a higher aim. They wish for their performances to encourage audiences and point them to their Heavenly Father. They try to communicate to them to Dig Deep. Luke 6:48 says,"They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built."
