Symphony Orchestra Tour Endowment

Initiated in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Laurie Redmer Minner Cadwallader’s leadership as symphony orchestra conductor and music professor at Southern Adventist University. This endowment honors her remarkable vision and celebrates the orchestra’s long-standing impact on students and alumni who—regardless of their profession—honed their musical skills in Southern's Symphony Orchestra and participated in tours across the United States and around the world, including Korea, the South Pacific, Greece, Russia, Romania, Spain, Canada, the British Isles, France, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Poland, Argentina, and Puerto Rico.

Each tour requires students and their conductor to raise between $50,000–$100,000 to make these opportunities possible. This endowment provides consistent, annual support to ease that fundraising burden and ensure future students continue to experience these life-changing tours.
