Patricia M. Silver - Memorial
Pat Silver faithfully served 17 years, from 1983 to 2000, as the band director of
Southern College. Many students passed under her baton and instruction and learned
to excel in their performance under her guidance. She was and still is a much loved
legend of her time who always sought to bring out the best in her students. Her legacy
is to always bring glory to God through her music and service. May many more students
come to know who Jesus is by entering SAU for musical education because of Pat's leadership.

Stephen H. Welch '77 & '10 - Memorial
Honoring Stephen Welch’s lifelong passion for the outdoors and his gift for teaching,
encouraging, and bringing young people together through adventure. Steve earned his
Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education & Recreation and Master’s degree
in Outdoor Education from Southern Adventist University.
The Welch family requests memorial gifts in Steve’s honor, in lieu of flowers, to
support the next generation of Outdoor Education students at Southern. Steve’s connection
to outdoor education began in his youth through his family’s decades of leadership
in Adventist summer camps and continued throughout his life as an educator, coach,
and outdoorsman.
Through this fund, Steve’s family hopes to carry forward what he spent a lifetime
doing: helping young people discover their potential, build strong teams, and find
adventure in God’s creation.

The Japanese Maple tree will bring brilliant color to Southern's campus.
Gift a Japanese maple Tree: $750
Other trees can be chosen from a Maple, Oak, many different Flowering trees, or Evergreen trees. Suggestions will be taken and we will decide what type would fit the best where a tree is needed to be place on campus.
Gift a Maple, Oak, Flowering, of Evergreen Tree: $500
There are many exhisting trees on campus that can be dedicated to a loved one. Some suggestions might be this Willow Oak, or a Kwanzan Cherry that has beautiful pink and white blossoms in the spring.
