Research Coaching
Southern students, faculty, and staff may receive free research assistance for any assignment or project with a highly-trained research librarian. In-person and virtual appointments are available. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are highly encouraged and recommended. If you need help with outlining, writing, or citations, please schedule an appointment with a Writing Tutor.
Here are a few things to keep in mind as you schedule your research coaching appointment:
- Bring a copy of your research assignment with you.
- If your question is complex or has multiple parts, please book a 60-minute appointment.
- If you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible to free up the appointment time for someone else.
If you schedule a research coaching appointment fewer than 24 hours before your assignment is due, we will do our best to help you, but the library cannot guarantee that you will locate all of your sources and/or that your Mendeley issues will be resolved in time for you to meet your deadline.
