EVENTS
Each year, we hold several events for Southern's alumni and friends to learn about
special projects and partner with us in furthering our mission. Homecoming is our
largest gathering!
Southern Adventist University celebrates Ethan David, junior health services and senior living administration major, who was awarded the 2023-2024 Morning Pointe Scholars Endowment Scholarship this month. Southern alumni Franklin Farrow, co-founder and chief executive officer, and Scott Edens, vice president for professional development, both of Morning Pointe Senior Living, presented the scholarship during an event hosted by the university’s School of Business.
A Taste of Southern, the first event of its kind hosted by Southern Adventist University, debuted on October 2 in downtown Chattanooga. The event featured music ensembles, works of art, and a farm-to-table dinner provided in part by the university’s own Thatcher Farm.
This summer, two brothers attending Southern Adventist University received gold medals during the SkillsUSA’s national championships held in Atlanta, Georgia. Allen and Brandon Gustrowsky, sophomore and junior computer science majors, participated in the collegiate division for Web Design and Development.
