The Modern Languages Department at Southern Adventist University offers a complete series of courses leading to bachelor's degrees in French and Spanish and provides necessary preparation for graduate study.
Interdisciplinary programs that lead to teaching certification in French and Spanish are available for students interested in teaching on the secondary level.
Bachelor's degrees in international studies with an emphasis in French, German, Italian, or Spanish enhance the student's ability to live and work in an international setting.
Students who major within the department and study abroad will earn a special sash upon graduation. (Minors are not eligible)
Minors in Arabic, French, German, Italian, and Spanish give students a deeper understanding of the language and literature of various societies within a global context.
Courses in American Sign Language introduce students to deaf culture and provide an opportunity for service in the deaf community.
