Ramses Cultural Center is a program located in the heart of Cairo, capital city of Egypt. The 4 story building is located immediately adjacent to the largest plaza of the city where hundreds of thousands of pedestrians and cars pass by every day. The Center currently provides programs to serve the community in the area of health, preschool and language classes. The building was inaugurated in 2018 to be Egypt’s largest Center of Influence operated by the SDA church.

  • Timeline: Full year and semester options available. There is some flexibility depending upon position.
  • Location: Ramses Cultural Center is located in the center of Cairo, Egypt. Depending upon statistical reports, Cairo is listed as one of the largest cities in the world, with more than 22 million inhabitants. The city has so much to see and do. Check out the location on Google Maps!
  • Living Accommodations: All our team members are provided housing. Ramses Cultural Center has fully furnished apartments with shared living space inside the facility itself. Also, as needed, the Center can rent adjacent apartments for further housing needs. Our apartments are all newly remodeled and have all the amenities needed for living. Team members do share living quarters with members of the same sex.
  • Language: The official language of Egypt is Arabic. Many Egyptians speak some basic English.
  • Food: Each team member will purchase his or her own food. Each person will receive a monthly stipend that will cover this cost. Typical Egyptian food is tasty Arabic cuisine
  • Internet Access: The apartments and the Center all have wifi internet access.
  • Requirements: Visa, you must have $25 USD in your hand upon arriving to the airport in Cairo to obtain your tourist visa.

  • English Teacher - This person will teach English for Egyptian locals following the course curriculum at the Ramses Center.
