Memories of our Inaugural Event in 2022
The 2022 inaugural Taste of Southern event celebrated 130 years of Southern Adventist
University’s dedication to transforming lives academically, spiritually, and socially.
I was held at the alumni-owned Westin Hotel and featured a Southern curated art gallery,
farm-to-table dinner from the Southern farm, and entertainment from Southern’s steel
band and I Cantori chorale group. The event raised over $97,000 dollars, the proceeds
of which were used to start the First-Generation Student Endowment.
