Wright Hall
The main administration building is where you’ll meet with Admissions, Student Finance, and Records and Advisement personnel. The Dining Hall is on the third floor.
Talge & Thatcher Hall
Talge Hall is the men’s residence and Thatcher Hall is the women’s residence. Besides student dorm rooms, both have chapels for worship and various recreational spaces.
Hulsey Wellness Center
The Wellness Center has a fitness floor, walking track, swimming pools, rock-climbing wall, and an eatery called Kayak. The center is home to the School of P.E., Health, and Wellness, and includes a training facility for the Gym-Masters.
Iles P.E. Center
The Iles P.E. Center features basketball, racquetball, volleyball, and badminton courts and is the location for many convocations and concerts as well.
Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists
The Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists hosts Friday-night vespers, student-led worship services, and a variety of Sabbath School classes.
Hickman Science Center
The Hickman Science Center features the Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics and Engineering departments and the School of Computing. Be sure to check out the Foucault Pendulum.
Bietz Center for Student Life
Currently under construction, the Bietz Center for Student Life will house many of the support departments on campus as well as the book store and a new campus eatery.
McKee Library
The McKee Library offers award-winning research help, both in person and online. There are also writing and tutoring services available.
Summerour Hall
Summerour Hall is home to the School of Education, Psychology, and Counseling as well as the Teaching Materials Center, with resources for educators on and off campus.
Hackman Hall
Hackman Hall houses not only the School of Religion but also the Lynn H. Wood Hall Archaeology Museum, which features rare artifacts from Bible times.
Student Center
Located on the top floor of Wright Hall, the student center provides a central place to hang out with friends, play ping pong and other games, and grab a bite to eat from KR’s Place.
Lynn Wood Hall
Lynn Wood Hall is the oldest building on campus, but it is full of helpful staff dedicated to student success. The Alumni Relations and Philanthropy offices are also here.
Daniells Hall
Daniells Hall is full of future social workers in the School of Social Work. The faculty provide waffles, muffins, and other treats for their hard-working students.
Florida Hospital Hall
Florida Hospital Hall is home to the School of Nursing, Southern’s largest academic program, and includes a modern clinical skills lab.
Mabel Wood Hall
In addition to housing the School of Music, Mabel Wood Hall features the large Ackerman Auditorium and many practice rooms.
Miller Hall
Miller Hall is home to the Modern Languages Department, teaching Spanish, French, and American Sign Language, to name a few.
Brock Hall
One of the busiest buildings on campus, Brock Hall is home to the School of Journalism and Communication, School of Visual Art and Design, School of Business, and the History and Political Studies and English departments.
Ledford Hall
Ledford Hall is where students can take their cars for a tune up. It’s also home to the Automotive Service and Construction Management programs.
Outdoor Education Center
The Outdoor Education Center offers a ropes course and meeting area and serves as a launching point for many outdoor activities throughout the year.
Physical Therapist Assistant Program
The Physical Therapist Assistant Department features modern clinical training rooms in the heart of Fleming Plaza.
Vegetarian Culinary Arts Program
The Vegetarian Culinary Arts Program features a restaurant-grade kitchen with 16 stations and the frequent smell of delicious food being prepared by students.
Promenade
The promenade is the central path crossing campus, connecting most academic buildings. When calculating travel time, it is best to factor in all the friends you’ll run into.
