Southern Adventist University has embarked on a strategic planning process to implement 16 bold new initiatives. These initiatives strengthen Southern as a leader in Christian higher education and thereby strengthen the success of each student and graduate. By aligning strategic decision-making with resources, Southern is focusing on its mission at deeper and deeper levels through wise planning.
Strategic Planning Goals
The greatest asset in carrying out the Vision 20/20 plan is the shared sense of mission and purpose among Southern’s employees and students. We are a Seventh-day Adventist learning community committed to student transformation. We believe in active student engagement and are dedicated to teaching and scholarly accomplishment within a healthy spiritual environment full of opportunities for personal maturity and growth.
Vision 20/20 is organized around five themes and 16 initiatives. Southern’s major stakeholders and constituencies helped to create these themes and initiatives through visioning sessions with students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff, administration, community members, church leaders, and the Board of Trustees.
Vision 20/20 will propel Southern through the current decade and into the next, stronger than ever and truer to mission.
