Prospective Field Instructors
Interested in Becoming a Field Instructor?
Want to Partner with Our School of Social Work?
Our program is always seeking new field placement opportunities. Students gain invaluable experience working alongside dedicated professionals who model what it means to be a skilled social worker. Partnering agencies benefit as well, welcoming enthusiastic students who are eager to learn and contribute to advancing your agency’s goals.
Prospective Field Instructor Criteria
Professionals must be a BSW or MSW social worker with a minimum of two years post-grad
experience. In cases where a qualified field instructor is not available within the
field setting, the Southern Adventist University School of Social Work program allows
the opportunity for students to utilize a task supervisor as the person they are immediately
responsible for in the field setting. The School of Social Work will assign a qualified
field instructor in those situations where a task supervisor is used.
